The Benefits Of Surround Sound Speakers

When surround sound speakers came out, I swore to myself that I would never get them. I snorted at the very idea! You see, I was a fan of low fidelity rock music, and I was quite proud of it. I did not need any of that fancy nonsense – you just needed to hear the song. Any music that needed a surround sound speaker system to be truly appreciated was probably lousy music. Straightforward rock n roll, which I knew was the best music in the world, certainly did not need that kind of technology. It could be appreciated in its raw and unadulterated form. It even sounded good through a blown speaker cabinet. My wife, however, has very different opinions about music. She has very different opinions about everything, in fact, but fortunately both of us like to argue. She knew that she needed home theater surround sound speakers. For her, my music was just plain noise. It had no subtlety in her opinion, unlike the classical music that she treasured. This is why I first listened to speakers surround sound, but I am glad that I did. I was surprised at how much difference they really made. They really brought out the music at its full depth. Even simple, straightforward, dirty rock n roll sounded great through surround sound speakers. We had some of the best surround sound speakers that were on the market at the time, which was pretty impressive for us. Before that, you see, all I had were some big, old, half dead speakers from the mid-70s. Her stereo equipment consisted of a dual tape deck boombox from the mid-80s. The difference between that and the surround sound speakers was like night and day! It was easy for us to pick out surround sound speakers. My wife had some friends who were big audiophiles, you see, and they played their Boise surround sound system to us. If you have never had the chance to listen to a surround sound home theater system, however, you probably should not go out and buy speakers. It is important to get a chance to listen to it in a room of similar size and layout to the one that you are going to put it in. Surround sound speakers vary based on their surroundings. The same surround sound speakers that will sound great in one environmental will sound terrible in another, so you have to be sure to research it thoroughly. Value Added Sales Calls

So one weekend morning I was trying to take advantage of a nice quiet house and an empty schedule for the day to catch up on some much needed sleep. I was doing well until the phone began to ring around 9:00AM. Knowing it was probably a telemarketer, I tried to ignore the first call and go back to sleep. It worked! That is until another call 15 minutes later. I thought very hard about getting up and yelling at the person calling but my bed was just too comfortable and the phone was so far away (on the nightstand next to my bed). I finally lost it when the phone rang again at 9:45AM. I answered with the full intention of really ripping into the poor soul on the other end for disrupting my late morning slumber. “Hi Mr. Duke, this is Kelly calling for Mother s Against Drunk Driving (MADD). How are you today?” (I could have picked EITHER of the other two phone calls and have been set up perfectly to blow off some steam, but no…I get Mother s Against Drunk Driving….How exactly am I supposed to be mean to them?) “I m doing well Kelly, how are you?” (I always try to be polite to the person as they are just doing their job.) Kelly went into her speech about why she was calling. She was not calling for a donation, she assured me. She explained to me what MADD was all about ( I feel I could have taken a pretty good guess) and how they have a program (here it comes) in which they offer a discount subscription or renewal of your favorite magazine as a way to support MADD. They get 16% of each subscription as a donation. Given I was due for a renewal of the ONE magazine I subscribe to I figured why not help out a good cause and renew my subscription? So I asked Kelly if they had that magazine available and (surprise!) they did not. Oh well I figured, I ll get a different one then. We went through a couple lists a finally settled on one. One $50 Popular Science subscription later Kelly thanked me for my time and told me the information would be sent to me in the mail very soon. I thanked her for helping me to spend $50 before I had gotten out of bed and told her to have a nice day. This leads to an interesting question. Undoubtedly nearly everyone that has ever been in sales currently has or will continue to make cold calls. What did Kelly do that was different than most other telemarketers? She offered me value (the magazine) on top of the good feeling of donating to a good cause (MADD). When you cold call your customers are you offering value other than the product or service you are selling? You may think the product or service you are selling is the value you are offering but does your prospect see that? I am interested in hearing what techniques you have used that has helped your success rate in making cold calls. Please comment. Non Profit Marketing Help

Many Non-profit organizations enact in an egregious manner. It perplexes me that Non Profit organizations believe that there is a significant difference in performance, reporting and business methodology. This myth is not only untrue and must cease. Fact, Non-Profit organizations require bureaucracy, goals and accountability. More importantly Non-Profits must always be marketing. While reading a national periodical I read that a fairly prominent Non-Profit was preparing to cut as much as one-third of its headquarters staff, up to 1,000 employees, and pare regional management due to fundraising issues. Is this a lack of money, or simply a lack of selling and a lack of accountability? I am often intrigued when management cuts staff to raise profits and even more concerned when issues arise because organizations fail to remain committed to its only rational goals- retain and gain clients. Organizations must refrain from current habits; they will find an excuse for anything. The real issue is accountability. Some non-profits fail miserably at marketing and sales. Recent research for this article indicates that many non-profits focus attention on operations rather than an outward focus. Currently, examples of fund raising efforts involve galas and unfortunately notoriety following a disaster. Most organizations are staffed with volunteers uneducated in closing sponsors and requesting money. The means to an end for many organizations is to implement a professional selling force that is 1) hungry in the hunt and enjoys searching for dollars in precarious places, 2) enjoys networking to uncover possible donations and 3) will not hesitate to ask for the business. Secondly, many firms believe that internal training augments large spending. Not true. From over 25 years with clients around the globe I typically get calls from organizations to conduct training for two vital reasons, 1) there is a bias within the organization that disavows market trends. organizations must focus on motivation and production. Managers are not well versed in compensation, goal matrices etc. Sales people are driven by proper goals and compensation. 3) There is a systematic approach to selling and many internal trainers use books and tapes rather than practical experience. Sales take longer to close and professionals as well as executives get frustrated with lagging revenue. 4) Internal training is myopic. In recent research 76% of firms that internally train do so once per year, then speculate why production and profits fail. Training needs to instill hunger not focus on service offerings. 6) Internal training fails in how to close business. Finally, there is a horrendous disconnection between, clients, staff and at times boards of directors concerning marketing intentions. A recent trip revealed that staff and clients did not understand what the organization did. Staff and board had multiple marketing messages. Worse yet many staff were unclear why the organization existed. It is imperative for organization to develop a solid value proposition. A pithy statement focusing on output and client values transcends purpose for staff and focus for clients and donors. An example statement- Transforming lives on the road to independence. With all working in concert the organization operates with a joint purpose. All staff are then involved in the selling process. A value proposition focused on output and benefit to clients. Clearly not all non-profits are dysfunctional and many do not have these issues. Yet many do and fail to realize that success hinges upon the ability to raise funds- continually. Rather than use perfunctory fundraising methods, organizations should use methods employed by for profit institutions. With changes in market conditions and the economy specifically, donations become slimmer and competition increases. Currently, 850,455 public charities and 104,276 private foundations are registered with the IRS. (Source: The Urban Institute, National Center for Charitable Statistics, Business Master File 01/06) In addition, 463,714 other types of nonprofit organizations, such as chambers of commerce, fraternal organizations and civic leagues, are registered with the IRS. (Source: The Urban Institute, National Center for Charitable Statistics, Business Master File 01/06) This creates a highly competitive enviornment with many organizations vying for similar dollars. Even for non-profits the world flatten with globalization and competition requiring a thirst for differentiation. Strategic Fundraising For A Not-For-Profit

In any given community there are a number of organizations that are known as not-for-profits. These not-for-profits go through a number of legal hoops to gain a status of being a 501(c) (3). One of the ways that a not-for-profit structure is different from their for-profit counterpart is the governing boards. The governing board of a not-for-profit receives no remuneration, but still provides governance and fiscal oversight to the operation. In addition, a not-for-profit functions, in any given community, to serve the needy population. Often these services are provided to the individuals in the community at no cost or based on a sliding fee. Therefore, not-for-profits are an integral part of any community. However, as of late, there has been a tremendous increase in the number of not-for-profits. Although, there are many advantages to having an increased number of not-for-profits in the community, there is a significant disadvantage. This major disadvantage is the fact that funds are generally limited in any community and the not-for-profit must compete for the same limited charitable dollar. Therefore, it is important that strategic fundraising be accomplished by not-for-profits to ensure survivability and to meet the needs of their clients. Three specific steps to strategic fundraising include the formation of a development committee, development training and a comprehensive development plan. Formation Of A Development Committee A development committee is a group of individuals that are recruited from the community that is served by the not-for-profit. This development committee can be comprised of both board members as well as non-board members. To attain strategic fundraising the development committee should be comprised of a cross-section of individuals who bring different talents and resources to the mix. Therefore, the development committee should be made up of individuals who know people of wealth or who are people of wealth. Also, marketing and public relations is an important part of delivering the not-for-profit message to the community to enhance their financial support. Therefore, individuals with marketing or media experience could serve on the development committee or work with the development committee by serving on a marketing committee. Development Training In order to be successful at any assigned task, it is important that individuals have the proper training and tools to be successful. Therefore, development staff and volunteers should be adequately trained in development procedures to accomplish strategic fundraising. This development training can be accomplished by taking advantages of many seminars that are offered to not-for-profit to enhance their fundraising capabilities. Or, if there is no money set aside in the budget, then a possible suggestion of development training is to request training from a non-competing, but successful fundraising not-for-profit. Comprehensive Strategic Fundraising Plan Finally, for a not-for-profit to be involved in successful strategic fundraising it is important that the fundraising plan be comprehensive. This simply means that every stream of revenue be explored so that the optimum amounts of money can be raised to fulfill the not-for-profit s mission statement. There are basically seven streams of revenue that feed into a successful strategic fundraising plan. Those streams of revenue include major gifts, grants, participation in United Way, corporate gifts, special events, gifts-in-kind and mail appeal. Egg Donation - The Details of the Program

Egg donation helps couples who want to have children but have difficulty conceiving. Usually the woman s ovaries do not produce enough healthy eggs to become pregnant, thus she uses donated eggs. Healthy young women in their 20s donate their ovum to help a couple conceive through IVF or surrogacy. What are the Qualifications for Egg Donors? Program standards vary, but most criteria have been set for legal reasons and to increase the chance of pregnancy. Egg donors must be between age 21 and 35, although most programs don t accept women over 30 years of age. You must be 21 to legally enter into a contract and younger than 35 because older women tend to respond poorer to fertility drugs than young women in their 20s. To qualify, young women must be healthy, have no STDs or diseases, be a non-smoker, have few or no genetic diseases in family, have no psychological problems, have no recent tattoos or body piercings, must be pursuing or already obtained a college degree, and must be physically and emotionally capable of donation. Many programs or ads also look for certain ethnicity backgrounds, high IQ or standardized test scores, athletic talents, musical talents, and for “attractive” looking donors. Most criteria is set to ensure that both the young woman and her eggs are healthy, which will result in a healthy pregnancy and baby. Couples tend to look for young women that look similar to them or have similar characteristics, which helps the couple feel that the child will look and act similar to them, as if it was genetically theirs. Many programs offer more monetary compensation if you have already given birth or successfully donated eggs previously. This is the case because these donors are more likely to follow egg donation guidelines, are already proven to be fertile, and their positive feelings about donation have already been made. Some program also offer more compensation for certain ethnicities, beauty, high IQ, and special talents. What Does the Egg Donation Process Involve? To apply for an egg donation program, you must fill out a long questionnaire (average 30 pages) which asks for general information about yourself and extensive details about you and your family s medical history. You will also be asked for photos of yourself, usually from birth until the present. Your application will then be reviewed. If you are deemed acceptable, you will be accepted into the egg donation program. Some programs at this point post you on their egg donation database until you are selected by a couple. Other programs complete your psychological, medical, social disease testing, background check at this point before qualifying you as fit to donate. Next, you must wait to be chosen by a couple. This can take anywhere from a few weeks to over a year. Each couple is looking for different criteria so you must wait until you match someone s criteria. Repeat donors sometimes are chosen faster than first-time donors. After being selected, you will enter into a legal contract with the couple. Depending on the center you are working with and the couple s preferences, your contact with the couple may differ. Most centers keep anonymity between parents and donors, although some couples or donors prefer to meet. After the legal contract is signed, medications will begin. Typical medications taken by an egg donor are Lupron, follicle stimulating hormones, and human chorionic gonadotropin. Most medications must be injected at home by yourself. Injections last about 3-4 weeks of the process. Your clinic will inform you of what medications you will be taking and instruct you on how to inject yourself with the medications. Finally, after about 2-4 months the day and the exact time will be set for egg retrieval. You will be required to travel to the IVF Center you work with (if you live far away travel expenses may be covered) for this procedure. You will be sedated and a vaginal ultrasound probe with a needle guide will enter your vagina. This needle will enter the ovaries and take out the ready eggs. This procedure takes about 30 minutes to an hour. You must rest for about 1-3 hours after the retrieval, at which point someone can drive you home. It s recommended that you don t fly home until the next day. After the procedure, you may feel cramping or have light bleeding for a day or more. You should feel normal within a day or two. Within a few weeks, you should start menstruation and your body will return to normal. You can expect payment anywhere from 72 hours to one week after the process. Monetary compensation ranges from $2,500 to $15,000. First time donors can expect to receive about $2500 to $5,000. Repeat donors may receive more, up to about $15,000 (which most centers agree to be the compensation limit for ethical and financial hardship reasons). Depending on the degree of openness, you may never know if your couple conceived using your donated eggs. You can return back to your normal life at this point, or choose to go through the egg donation process again in the future. Egg donors
Helping Children s Charities With Your Credit Card

Helping Children s Charities With Your Credit Card People donate to charity in a number of ways. They give old clothes, bake and sell cakes, or contribute their time. Now there s an even easier way to support your favourite charity by using your credit card. People have been able to use their credit cards to make direct payments to charity for quite some time. But now many charities are automating the practice of receiving donations by launching their own credit cards backed by major banks. Charity Credit Cards – How They Work Charity credit cards donate to charities in two ways. People apply for credit cards as usual. Once the application is accepted, the issuing bank donates a lump sum to the charity. This can vary considerably, from as little as £5 to £40 or more. The second part of the donation is a fixed percentage of spending on credit card purchases. Again, this rate can vary from around 0.25% to 1%. This means that charities get 25 pence for every £100 spent on the card. Some card issuers offer an incentive for repeated spending on the card or for continuing to keep the card. This usually means another lump sum donation to the charity at the end of a set period, such as a year. Children s Charity Credit Cards There are many charities that issue credit cards, including many popular children s charities. The NSPCC (National Society For The Prevention of Cruelty To Children) card is backed by Halifax and offers a preferential rate on balance transfers for six months. Other credit cards for charities that benefit children include: 1. Barnardos – issued by Cooperative Bank 2. Children in Crisis – issued by Cooperative Bank 3. Childline - issued by MBNA 4. Children s Aid – issued by Cooperative Bank 5. Children s Society – issued by Cooperative Bank 6. Great Ormond Street Children s Hospital 7. Mencap – issued by Halifax 8. Save the Children – issued by Cooperative Bank All of these credit cards offer a one-off donation when the card is issued, a percentage of spending donated to charity and an additional donation for continued use of the credit card. Looking For The Best Charity Credit Card Deal In addition to donating to charity, most charity credit cards offer the same benefits as other credit cards. It is worth shopping around for the best deal. There are many websites that have credit card comparison charts to help people decide on the best mix of features. Many charity credit cards have introductory offers. These include 0% balance transfer rates for fixed periods. Some card issuers charge a one-off fee for balance transfers to stop the practice of rate jumping. Other introductory offers include long term low interest rates, low or 0% interest rates on purchases, reward points and more. Shopping around for the best credit card deal will give consumers a credit card that suits their spending habits. At the same time, they will be able to automate their charitable contributions. This benefits both consumers and charities. Joe Kenny writes for CardGuide.co.uk, with the latest credit cards , and more info on the best credit cards . Visit today: http://www.cardguide.co.uk/
1031 Exchange for Business Assets

1031 exchanges are most often associated with investment real estate as a way to defer taxable investment gains. However, section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code (”IRC”) is NOT limited to real estate transactions. A number of other assets qualify, including most tangible business assets. Section 1031 provides that “No gain or loss shall be recognized on the exchange of property held for productive use in a trade or business or for investment if such property is exchanged solely for property of like kind which is to be held either for productive use in a trade or business or for investment.” To qualify for a 1031 exchange: - The sale of the relinquished property and the replacement property must be identified within 45 days and the acquisition completed within 180 days of the qualified sale. - The replacement property must be of equal or greater value than the relinquished property. - All proceeds from the relinquished property must be reinvested in the replacement property. Nowhere does the IRC limit the use of section 1031 to investment real estate. So, let s consider its application in the exchange of like kind business assets. The most important distinction made by the Internal Revenue Service (”IRS”) is that the sale or exchange of a business is not considered the sale or exchange of one single asset (i.e. the business). Rather, it is considered the sale or exchange of individual asset classes that comprise the business. Therefore, each class of asset must be exchanged with an asset of equal or greater value, in the same class and subject to the above requirements to qualify for section 1031 deferment. In most cases, depreciable tangible property (real estate and equipment) are the most likely to qualify for deferment under section 1031. Although, intangible property can qualify for “like kind” treatment, it is often difficult to prove that intangible assets are like kind based on the nature and character of the rights involved. For this same reason, a business s going concern value or goodwill is never considered by the IRS to be like in kind to the going concern value or goodwill of another business. As you may imagine, 1031 business exchanges can become very complex based on the assets involved. For this reason, they are best left to the tax professional. However, it is important for you as a potential business seller to understand that 1031 exchanges are not limited to real estate transactions. They are available to business sellers with the same requirements and restrictions. Depreciation Guide - Straight-Line Method & Declining-Balance Method
Posted on March 12, 2008

Assets with finite lives lose their value over time. Land is the only asset that is not finite. For all other assets, firms depreciate their value, that is, they attribute the historical cost of the asset over its useful life (the number of years that the asset will be used). At the end of each fiscal year, firms subtract depreciation claimed to that date from the historical cost of the asset, which results in the asset’s current book value or market value. At the end of the useful life of the asset, the portion left that has not been depreciated is the salvage value of the asset if it were to be sold. There are two common methods used for determining the value of depreciated assets: the straight-line method and the declining balance method. The straight-line method assumes that the asset loses an equal percentage in value during each year of its useful life. The declining balance method assumes that the asset loses more value (depreciates) during the earlier years of the asset’s useful life by assuming the asset loses an equal percentage of its value every year. An example using both methods is shown below for a $10,000 asset that’s expected to be used for 10 years and then salvaged for $1000. NOTE: For the table of depreciation value, kindly refer to the page here tradingsphere.com/depreciation From the table it is easy to see that the straight-line method results in the same deduction every year while the declining-balance yields much higher deductions during the earlier years. An implication of the declining-balance method is that the asset can be sold for a higher value before it is due to be salvaged and pose a greater tax gain for the firm. The Battle Between Light And Darkness Within The Christian Democratic Party Of Australia

In the past, I have written about the Christian Democratic Party (CDP) in Australia and some of the controversial issues that have been affecting the Party. CDP is led by Fred Nile (National President) and after serious investigation into Fred Nile by reviewing his policies, perspectives and interviewing his colleagues and friends, I have come to the conclusion that Fred Nile is a sincere man of God who desires God s will to be done in Australia. However, Gordon Moyes, who is one of the Vice Presidents of CDP, seems to be a dark shadow that stands over the Christian Democratic Party and is determined to destroy CDP and the Godly leaders who established the Party. I believe that Gordon should be dismissed from CDP for his unchristian behaviour but, because of man s laws associated with Political Parties, this is not always possible. However, God s laws clearly illustrate that Gordon s behaviour is ungodly and that God no longer wants him to cause more damage to the body of Christ. For sometime I have strongly suspected Gordon Moyes to be involved in Freemasonry and, unfortunately, it does seem that Gordon Moyes is sympathetic to the Freemasonry cause, as well as being sympathetic to many other causes that are damaging the Christian faith in Australia. Gordon Moyes made this comment about Freemasons being Ministers in the Uniting Church: “I guess, although I do not know, that Ministers of the Uniting Church who are members of the Masonic Orders have an obligation to their Order while in certain places and in matters of disclosure.” (Source: http://www.gordonmoyes.com/2006/01/01/parliamentarian) The above comment from Gordon Moyes regarding his view on Ministers being Freemasons is either an ill-informed comment which displays this man s ignorance of anti-Christian organizations, or it is a carefully crafted comment designed to sugar-coat an organization which practices occult rituals and worships demon gods. Whatever the reason for Gordon making the above comment about Ministers of the church being Freemasons, it demonstrates that this man is completely unfit to represent CDP. Anyone who sugar-coats or who makes sympathetic comments regarding occult organizations demonstrates anti-Christian behaviour and probably a lack of knowledge regarding the Word of God. I was involved with the occult and elements of Freemasonry for more than a year, and I can personally testify that their activities are anti-Christian, and Freemasons and their doctrines have absolutely no place in the church. The initiation into Freemasonry is identical, or at least very similar, to the initiation into witchcraft which involves blinding the new Freemason with a blindfold, and holding a knife to him while taking him through some veiled occult rituals. Anyone who compares the initiation into Freemasonry and the initiation into a common witchcraft coven will discover the initiations are virtually identical. It has been documented that Freemasonry is a form of witchcraft and any Christian Leader making sympathetic and ill-informed comments about Freemasons being Ministers in the church is a danger to the body of Christ. If you read Gordon s above comments about Freemasons being Ministers in the Church, he is basically in a very clever and subtle way justifying that Freemasons can be ministers in the church and that he doesn t see that there is a conflict of interest in preaching both doctrines. Freemasonry is witchcraft and any person who is involved in Freemasonry is an abomination to God. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 10 “There shall not be found among you… who practices witchcraft, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer, 11 “or one who conjures spells, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead. 12 “For all who do these things are an abomination to the LORD, and because of these abominations the LORD your God drives them out from before you. Gordon says about Church Leaders who are members of a witchcraft organization that they “have an obligation to their Order.” He also indicates that members of this witchcraft organization can serve two masters; he claims they only have an obligation to their witchcraft order in certain circumstances. Can a Freemason serve two Masters? Can they serve their Masonic witchcraft order while serving the church? Jesus said, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.” (Matthew 6:24) It is clear that Gordon s perspectives and policies are not only suspicious but dangerous to the body of Christ. Gordon s policies and comments defy the word of God and deliberately give place to the devil. “Neither give place to the devil.” (Ephesians 4:27) Gordon s attacks against Fred Nile have been both unchristian and deceptive. Gordon says that Fred is intolerant and is being racist against Muslims. However, Fred is greatly loved by many Asian, Middle Eastern and other cultural groups. Gordon also attacks CDP s Muslim immigration policy. Reuters News reported recently: “Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, spiritual leader of the world s Anglicans, said on Thursday the introduction in Britain of some aspects of Sharia, Islamic law, was unavoidable.” (Source: Reuters, Sharia Unavoidable in Britain, By Paul Majendie, February 08, 2008) Is that truly what non-Muslims want and what they would knowlingly agree to? Australia was built on Christian values and any rational person should be able to see that having a large Muslim population in Australia, could result in Islamic Sharia Law being introduced and implemented into our country. CDP s policy and perspective towards Islam in Australia is not only a healthy Christian perspective, but it s also a perspective of common sense. Common sense tells you that having Sharia Law legislated into one s country is not a desirable thing to happen for non-Muslims. Fred Nile should be commended for his stance on the Muslim issue, and Gordon should be condemned for not protecting Australian Christians and non-Muslims from Sharia Islamic Law. Fred Nile recently said: “When I invited Gordon Moyes to be our NSW Upper House Candidate, I was warned by MPs, Church leaders etc that I was making a mistake because Gordon, with his ego and ambition, would never allow himself to agree to be number 2 to me and he would challenge me for leadership of the CDP. Now Gordon wants me to resign my leadership of CDP in 2008 and resign my CDP Seat in Parliament in 2009, in spite of my 46% increased vote!” (Source: CDP Presidential Prayer and Information Email, Fred Nile, National/NSW President of Christian Democratic Party, No 3, 2008) Gordon is clearly determined with his ambitious and self-centered desires to tear down Fred Nile and take control of the Christian Democratic Party. He has almost no concern for the body of Christ. His only interest is for himself and his diabolical agenda. Galatians 5:19-21 “Now the works of the flesh are evident…idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Jesus tells us that: “by their fruit we shall know them.” The above works of the flesh stated in Galatians 5 clearly illustrate the kind of fruit that Gordon is bearing within the Christian Democratic Party. He is consistently causing dissensions, contentions, and demonstrates the fruit of jealousy and envy on a regular basis. The man s fruit is consistently and obviously rotten and the effect on CDP has been disastrous as his selfish ambitions have caused division over and over again. 1 Timothy 6:5 “Useless wrangling of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.” Gordon sees his position in a Christian and Godly organization as a means of gain for himself. It s clear that he has no intention of working with the body of Christ or serving in his calling with humility. The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy about this kind of behaviour and a comparison with scripture clearly shows that Gordon is destitute of the truth as he seeks to cause dissension and destruction within CDP. The Apostle Paul further said that we should withdraw ourselves from such people. (1 Timothy 6:5) This means that we should withdraw ourselves from people like Gordon who think godliness is a form of gain for themselves. Gordon Moyes not only attacks Fred Nile but he attacks the CDP itself. Fred Nile recently reported in his Prayer and Information Email that Gordon was accusing CDP of not being democratic. These comments by Gordon were unfruitful, deceptive and damaging; Gordon s forked tongue is like a tool of destruction which is determined to destroy the reputation of CDP. His attacks against CDP and Fred have been perverse lies that defy God s Word and it indicates that Gordon has little fear of God nor does he want to pursue or have the peace of Christ. Romans 3:13-18 “Their throat is an open tomb; with their tongues they have practiced deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips; whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness. Destruction and misery are in their ways. And the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes.” Gordon is an unfruitful branch who is like a dark shadow that puts a black mark upon CDP. He is the tare among the wheat as his presence pollutes the body of Christ with a spirit of destruction and deceit. Fred has proven in his recent information email that Gordon is deceptive, destructive and completely untrustworthy. Is Fred alone in his evaluation of Gordon s behaviour? No!! It seems that Gordon s deceptive behaviour doesn t end in the Christian Democratic Party. The Rev Harry Herbert of the Commission for Social Responsibility of the Uniting Church of New South Wales says about Gordon Moyes: “Gordon Moyes has not co-operated with the Synod in providing information which it has requested from him. For example: the investment in 2GB, at that time Gordon Moyes did not provide adequate information to the Synod. Also in regard to the Aged Pensions Welfare Trust which he claims to have established. He has not provided even the Trust Deed to the Synod claiming it has nothing to do with the church.” “In July last year, when Gordon Moyes was under a great deal of criticism over the 2GB investment, he (Gordon Moyes) announced that he had received a donation of 11.7 million dollars and he claimed that this was a result of the ownership of Wesley Mission of the Radio Station 2GB. Since that time, the Synod has been attempting to understand the details of that 11.7 million dollar donation. Gordon Moyes has refused on several occasions to give any information about it to the Synod. He claims that it is something quite separate and independent from the church. But I would ask - how can a donation made to the Wesley Mission be separate and independent from the Uniting Church. I cannot for the life of me understand why Gordon Moyes will not make all the details public about the way in which this donation is being administered.” (Source: Radio National Transcripts, The Religion Report, Wednesday, 27 August, 1997, Uniting Church Conflict: http://www.abc.net.au/rn/talks/8.30/relrpt/trr9735.htm) I have had suspicions that Gordon has strong associations with Freemasonry and has received money from them to further his agenda in causing problems within the Christian church. Why does Gordon want to keep secret the source of the 11.7 million dollar donation to Wesley Mission? Why does he want to keep this information devoid of public scrutiny? John 3:20-21 “For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” If Gordon was walking in the light of Christ, he would bring the full details of the 11.7 million dollar donation into the light, but, instead, he has kept the details in the darkness lest his agenda be exposed. It seems deception, contentions and division within the body of Christ are a trademark that Gordon leaves wherever he goes. It is clear that Gordon s behaviour reflects that of a deceitful worker and false apostle claiming to be a minister of Christ. I believe that he is a minister of unrighteousness masquerading as a Minister of Righteousness. I just thank God that we have God s Word to understand who Gordon really is and how to deal with him. The Christian Democratic Party has been called by God to reflect the light of Christ within the nation of Australia. We cannot hold Fred Nile responsible for making the mistake of recruiting a false apostle and deceitful worker into the CDP, for we were warned these types of people would subtly infiltrate the body of Christ to cause destruction to God s Word. 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” Jesus said to his disciples: “Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?” (John 6:70) The Christian Democratic Party has been called by Jesus Christ just as the twelve disciples were, but just as Judas betrayed Christ, there is a Judas within CDP who has betrayed the people and its leadership. The evidence indicates that Gordon Moyes is determined to destroy CDP just as Judas was determined to destroy Jesus. Galatians 2:4 “And this occurred because of false brethren secretly brought in who came in by stealth to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage.” I believe that God will drive out this false apostle and deceitful worker, and I ask that all who read this article pray that the truth about this man be exposed so that further damage is not done to the body of Christ. Ephesians 5:11 “And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” Prophetic Word, “Gordon Moyes thinks he s the Pharaoh who owns the Nile, but it belongs to Me saith the Lord”, it could be said that the Christian Democratic Party is like the Nile River. Gordon Moyes wants to take ownership of the Nile River (Christian Democratic Party) to satisfy his own lust for power. However, God s people desire that this River would be a source of refreshment to a crumbling society through the blessing of God s almighty will and God s Inerrant Word. A New Fundraising Idea In Texas

I been involved in many fundraising campaigns for nonprofit organizations such as schools, churches and many other youth groups. However, I had no idea that school, churches and other nonprofit youth groups could actually make monthly profit from energy bills of many people in their community. But best of all the community that participate in this wonderful Power Up! Program, saves money each and every single month on their energy bill and for the nonprofit group for referring the program, get $5 income each and every single month when people pay their electricity bills. So if they get 200 people to switch and save, the group makes $1000 each month - That is $12,000 a year in Profits! If you are paying over 10.7 cents per K.W.H., then the Power Up! Programs is right for you and can save you money. This program is only available in the state of Texas but soon will be launch in many other states. I used to be a HL & P customer long time ago which was the only choice in Houston, Texas. Then about 3 years ago I change to Gexa Energy and started saving money. Today I am proud to say I am a Stream Energy (5th largest retail provider in Texas) customer, I am saving money each month and helping others do the same. Can you imagine if a church will do a campaign like this as a fundraiser? If a church ask their congregation to visit their website and compare energy rates, if they switch to Stream Energy through the Power Up! Program, then the church starts getting monthly checks for saving their congregation electricity money. With all prices going up as they are now a days and the economy the way it is, I will say this Power Up! Program is an excellent alternative to the regular candy bar sales and all the other stuff. Don t get me wrong product fundraising still raises most money in a short period of time, but this is another avenue of income the group did not have before. So no matter which fundraiser you choose, there is always work involve. However, Stream Energy has a easy to follow program and creates a website just for the nonprofit organization to promote the Power Up! Program. Incontinence: A Taboo Subject

Urinary incontinence or loss of bladder control. It’s not at all uncommon and no one really wants to talk about it. Seeing the television commercials are a big step, yet talking about it remains something that might be whispered about behind closed doors. Chances are, your medical provider may not even talk about it. It’s been my experience that when women are asked, they are often so surprised that an answer does not appear until a few visits later. One brave woman opened up an asked this question in a women’s forum: Let s talk about kegels. Or rather, incontinence. I know, it s a very delicate subject, and I have frequently been embarrassed, ashamed, etc. about this little problem. For one thing, I didn t think I d even face this until into my 80s or so. I m too young to have to wear pads every day. I do kegels, when I think about it. I m probably 10 pounds overweight, most of it in my belly and thighs. I don t have health insurance, so getting that little tie-up surgery’ is out. And besides, my little sister had that done and 6 years later, it s no longer effective. Anyone else struggle with this? So, let’s talk about urinary incontinence (UI) in women. To begin with, there are several types, but we’ll focus on the two main ones here. Stress urinary incontinence (SUI) (that’s the kind that occurs when you sneeze, cough, lift something, etc) is the most common form, affecting about 50% of those who experience incontinence. It seems to be more common in younger women, though occurs in older women as well. Urge urinary incontinence (UUI) is more common with advancing age (this is the kind that when you gotta go, you GOTTA go NOW!). Many women will have a mixture of both. There are various causes, but interestingly enough; studies have been inconsistent in identifying factors that regularly contribute to UI. Some contributing factors may include: childbirth – the more vaginal deliveries, the greater the overall risk current smoking status as been associated with UI (though the results are inconsistent in former smokers) obesity (it does improve with weight loss) constipation hysterectomy – Some studies show a 60% greater risk of UI following a hysterectomy. hormone therapy (A recent study showed that hormone therapy actually has been shown to increase the incidence of UI. JAMA. 2005;293:935-948.) Kegels become and important part of treatment with SUI since frequently the pelvic floor muscles are weakened. Just like we need to do strength training for our overall health, we need to do pelvic muscle strength training to support our bodies. When doing Kegels, it s important to make sure you are doing them correctly. To identify the correct muscles, sit on the toilet and try and stop your urination. You may notice that your attempts at stopping urinary are ineffective…well those are the very muscles you need to work on. Use this as a bench mark for yourself and re-test yourself weekly. Kegels must be done several times each day. Fortunately, they can be done anywhere and no one need know what you are doing. When they are done frequently enough, most women will be able to tell a difference. In addition to the contractions, try holding the muscle tight for a count of 8-10. Other possible treatments include: behavioral modification therapy using biofeedback, physical therapy using weighted cones to help strengthen pelvic floor muscles, bladder training, acupuncture, medications and surgery. Treatment often takes a multi-pronged approach beginning with an evaluation to discover the exact type of UI that is present (they have different treatment approaches). Often times, treatment will consists of a few different modalities. For women who wish to try self treatment first, do consider doing kegels, and increase your fluid intake. While that sound counter-intuitive, concentrated urine, along with caffeine are actually bladder irritant and will make the problem worse. Keep a diary to assess how often this is a problem, what may be some contributing factors, and what you are doing to address the problem. When you do see your health care provider, take this diary with you. If you are faced with this issue, please do see your health care provider for an exam. Left untreated, it generally does not get better on its own, but can improve with the proper treatment. ©2005, Barbara C. Meditation has always been connected with spirituality from the beginning of time. Pictures of an Indian yogi with no material possession, food from other s donation have been dominating people s perception about meditation from the old days. Now, more and more people in the western society are taking meditation for a different purpose. Meditation is now widely used for healing mind and body but still with a spirituality twist. Meditation is one, if not the best, way to communicate with The Source, The One who created everything. If done properly, meditation could bring your frequency closer to The Source s. When one is meditating in pure unconditional love, all his or her 7 Major Chakras and all Divine Chakras are activated. When Chakras are fully activated, all information to and from The Source flows with little or no interference. When information is received from one s higher self and The Source, he or she will be able to absorb better information than other people can. Most of the contributors in The Secret are recommending meditation as a daily routine. Testimonials from hundreds of people proof that meditation works for non spiritual matters. Some people are practicing meditation for attracting material matters such as cars, house or wealth. People who meditates regularly get better results. Why? Because people who meditates regularly have more active and well balance Chakras. With more active and well balanced Chakras, the channel between his or her physical body, his or her I am Presence and The Source is wider and free of interference. This way, materializing whatever asked will be much easier. For The Source, there is no request that is too big, too difficult or impossible. Materializing $ 1 is as easy as materializing $ 1 Million. The Source has no limit for everything. Limit is created by our conscious human mind. It s ok to ask for abundance from The Source. Abundance or wealth is not something sinful or evil. When your financial or material needs are fulfilled, it s much easier to help others and do good deeds to humanity. With so many different meditation techniques to choose from, one must always trust his or her intuition. Best meditation technique is the technique that allows you to go to The Source directly. Sometimes Light Masters and Angel / Arch Angels offer their assistance, but never give your power away to them. Remember that all of us are part of the Creator. We are all the Co-Creator, we create our own destiny. The Source, God, The Creator, whatever works for you, doesn t want any of us living is misery, poverty or in pain. Giving us hard time is not part of The Source agenda. Abundance is there for us to ask and grab. Meditation is very useful for asking, visualizing and receiving all the abundance you asked for. Take Your Tax Deductions For Your Home Business

You are running a home based business and tax time is coming up. Are you aware that you may be entitled to tax deductions in your home? There are many expenses that are related to running a home business from your office space to the cost of child care. You may have a room that you keep samples or inventory in for resale. There are certain factors that determine whether you are able to deduct home expenses. First, you will need to prove that you are self-employed, if customers come into your home, the nature of your business and activity, how you utilize the space in your home for your business, if it is a part of your home, or a separate structure. The tax rules that govern these deductions need to be understood in regards to your home and business. You can find these rules in the IRS code under the dis-allowance section. Once you have established your qualifications, you will then determine any exceptions that you get to claim. There are going to be some rules that you will need to know and the limits they may place on your actual deductions. You need to know the type of expenses that are subject to the code restrictions, what can be deducted and what must be satisfied to make it qualify. There are some specific rules that apply to day care expenses, along with other restrictions, too many to name. There are two things you need to determine when you claim a deduction, one is if you meet the required business use and what the limitations are concerning them. Any allowable deduction must relate to the use of your home for your business. For example, if you are using a portion of your home for making profit that is not a business, then you cannot claim a deduction. The space needs to be used exclusively for business use, not personal use, to qualify. Once you have established your entitlement for a deduction for expenses, then you need to deal with the rules that set limits on how much you can deduct. There will be some expenses you may claim in full, then there are those that will based on a percentage, generally 30%. This is only a basic outline of business home deductions, you will want to do further research before you make any deductions on your taxes. Podcasting For Profits

A podcast is a collection of digital media distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players (such as iPods) and personal computers. Believe it or not, you can make a successful internet business out of podcasting. In order to do so, your podcast has to be innovative and informative in order to rise above the competition. You may also be able to get sponsorship for your podcast. One of the newest forms of internet business is podcasting. Podcasting for profit involves making and distributing podcasts in order to generate revenue. Podcast profits can be made through actually selling the podcast, but they are more likely to be generated through donations, sponsorship and networking. It is possible to make money through podcasts, but you need to think about how it will generate revenue. Podcasts that cost money to download usually only do well if they contain information that is popular, relevant, and insightful. Podcasts that people have to pay for face serious competition from all the free podcasts available. This doesn t mean that podcasting isn t a good way to make money; you just usually need to find other ways of generating revenue besides just selling the podcast. One popular way of making money through podcasts is by providing a way of allowing people to make donations. Although many may not be willing to pay for a podcast, they may be willing to make a donation in order to keep your podcast alive. In order to receive money from donations, you will need to provide a link on your website where people can easily make a donation. Paypal is a reputable service that offers a donation button you can put on your site. People are not going to donate money to a service that does not provide a quality podcast. In order to make money from donations, you will need to provide a podcast that people think is worth contributing to. Donations are a great way to generate revenue for newer podcasts that have not yet built up a steady listening base. Commercial sponsorship is another good way for your podcast to generate revenue. It is not unknown for sponsors to approach podcasters that have a large base of listeners, but usually you have to approach the sponsors. Before approaching companies to try and persuade them to sponsor your podcast, you should have a good idea of the type of sponsors you want and the type of sponsors that would benefit from sponsoring your podcast. You should also have accrued a good listening base and show a good understanding of the business. You can also profit from your podcast through the revenue generated by your website. Your podcast can direct people to your website, which will have its own ways of generating revenue. In order to generate revenue through the website, it is essential to have a quality website that provides pertinent and engaging information. The information on the website should tie in with the subject of the podcast and provide information about it. A blog is one way to keep people coming back to your website on a frequent basis, in order to see any new updates. A newsletter can also direct people to specific items on the website and inform them of any new happenings regarding the podcast. Another good way to get the word out about your podcast and attract listeners is to create an Apple iTunes account and submit your podcast to the iTunes directory. This is a very simple process that will allow a large number of people to find and listen to your podcast. You don t even have to be listed in the Apple iTunes directory to make money from your podcast, as there are other podcast directories that can direct people to your podcast. Your website alone may be enough to gain listeners to the podcast, but the iTunes directory will net you more listeners and subscribers, and is worth considering if you really want to make money podcasting. Podcast profits don t just happen, they need to be planned. You can t create a podcast and expect the profits to just start rolling in. If you want to profit from your podcast, you need to spend some time thinking about how it will generate revenue. Proper planning and marketing strategy will provide a positive image of your podcast that people will want to experience. As a result, they will pay to watch it and you will profit from your internet business ideas! Raising Money For Your Campaign, Fast!

If I have learned anything in these years of working with political campaigns at the local, State and National level, it is that without sufficient capital, all the great ideas in the world will not help. Unless you are in a position to self-finance, let the fund raising begin. You must make a few key decisions. First, do you take on debt or only spend what you have raised? This question magnifies if things come down to a close race. Second, how do you want to reach the electorate? Rank the order of what avenues (radio, television, billboards, direct mail, newspaper, door to door, yard signs, fliers, hand cards) work best in your area. Do research for cost estimates. Combining effectiveness with relative cost will give you a wish list. This list helps determine how hard and fast you will need to work. Most campaigns become overwhelmed by a big number. But this is a step-by-step plan; fund one item at a time. Multi-Level Marketing. Never leave a meeting without a list of five names. It s nice to leave with a check in hand, but the names can be more important. Be a collections agent. Any successful collection agent will tell you: ask for the money and then shut up. The first person to talk loses. I have stayed quiet for minutes at a time in a meeting, and it works. Make it easy. You need a website with a PayPal donation option. Have a donation link on the very front of your website with clear directions and contact information. Ask for donations on all of your printed information, interviews and media communication by always giving your address and website. Ask everyone. Every beggar on the street has learned not to judge anyone. You never know who will contribute. If you set your sights on large contributions in hopes of circumventing this tedious process called fund raising, you are setting yourself up to fail. Tips for Filing Your Taxes Early

Are you expecting a refund on your 2007 taxes? If so, then you probably want to file as soon as you possibly can in order to get the money back as quickly as possible. This is quite normal, but if you want to file as soon as you can then you will want to get organized now. For example, tax filing requires that you have all of your financial information close by. Since you will need this information, you should go ahead and create a tax file. Tax preparation of this nature will keep you prepared and allow you to easily file your taxes when the time comes. The things you need to keep in this file folder include receipts and things of that nature if you will be itemizing your taxes. You will also want to keep track of your expenses, mileage, doctor s visits, student loan interest, rental income, and the like when you are preparing your taxes for your free efile. You will find that you are much happier when it comes time to file because you have everything you could possibly need located in your tax file folder. So, when a question is asked you can find the information and answer it within moments. This is the best way to save time when it comes to efiling. Remember, that you can have a tax file folder you use all year long. Then, when you have qualifying expenses, charitable donations, or the like, you simply add the information to your file folder and it will sit there waiting for you. That way, when you need this information you will have it and you will be so relieved that you can claim all of your exemptions because you have all of the information located close by to claim. You will also love the fact that you can file your taxes early simply because you were organized and kept all of your tax information in one convenient location. If you get into the practice of this then every single year you will be able to file your taxes early and receive your tax refund early, too. There is no reason to get all caught up in the rush to file your taxes on the very last day when you could easily keep up with your tax information all year long and then simply pull it out when filing time comes. This will save you a lot of stress as well as time looking for documents so give it a try. You will find it is not so difficult to keep up with a tax folder and that it really is a great idea. Caitlina Fuller is a freelance writer. If you want to file as soon as you can then you will want to get organized now. For example, tax filing requires that you have all of your financial information close by. Since you will need this information, you should go ahead and create a tax file. Tax preparation of this nature will keep you prepared and allow you to easily file your taxes when the time comes.
Successful Fundraising In A Competitive World

More now than ever, fundraising presents challenges to the various organizations, daycares, sports, schools and groups within schools needing to raise money. Funding that previously supported school activities has been curtailed, or more frequently, completely cut off, leaving the unattractive alternative of either foregoing many worthwhile educational activities or mobilizing students and parents to redouble fundraising activities. This in a world where other fundraising groups: nearby schools, sports - hockey, soccer, skating, lacrosse, swimming and others as well as non-school training organizations - day cares, scouts, gymnastics, baton twirlers, musical choruses and bands (the list is endless) are enduring the same restraints and will be out competing for the same fundraising dollars as you are. This explosion of fundraising at the door, the workplace and even at family gatherings has led to increased resistance to supporting fundraising activities, often resulting in lowered returns from the efforts put forth by participants, making the attainment of goals and objectives harder to reach. As a result, many fundraising groups have felt impelled to increase the number of fundraising activities undertaken. This is a natural response - if an activity produces less than hoped for, it seems necessary to do more of the same. The result is more resistance from the supporting customer base. People feel that they must be more selective in choosing which groups to assist - and if they have already supported your activity, they may very well feel they have done all they can - and refuse further spending. In addition, the students and parents begin to feel overwhelmed and become less willing to take part. Participation drops, resulting in even further diminished returns. Fewer take part in each project, fewer people buy from those selling and profits spiral downward. What can be done to have successful fundraisers in today s overcrowded environment? The answer may sound surprising - do fewer fundraisers! Examine the projects you have done and see which were the most successful. Look for programs that give the customer value for their money, particularly ones that fit into the family budget - thing that they are buying anyway. Then make a commitment to choosing just two fundraisers in the school year. Examine what groups in the school need to raise money and make it a co-operative effort with the various groups receiving a share of the proceeds based on what they have contributed. Announce to the students, parents and staff that the school or organization will be doing only one program in the fall and one in the spring. Ask for whole-hearted support for this one project. Let them know that they will be asked to approach friends, neighbors, relatives and work-mates just once this season. The community will appreciate the reduced demands placed on them and the response you will receive will be gratifying - and profitable. To make life simpler for you - and for your supplier - avoid doing more than one program at a time. Going out with more than one brochure does not make more money for you; it just makes more work and can create confusion. In the event that you feel it is necessary to do more than program at a time do them with one supplier. At least that way your supplier will be able to co-ordinate delivery which will make distribution much easier. Also, you may very well be able to negotiate a higher profit level. Make it easy for them and they will be in a better position to make it easy for you. Find a supplier who have worked with in the past - or a new one you trust and feel confident with and stick with them unless they fail to properly address your needs. You will save yourself a lot of work and headaches - and make it easier for the suppliers to do a better job of serving your needs and the needs of others in the community who need to do fundraising. Do Men Like Real or Fake Breasts? Men are very visual creatures, stimulated by looking at a woman s body in the same way that a female gets turned on when she is told something romantic and loving. Certain body parts are more desirable to look at, catching the attention of men. One of these being the lovely lady lumps, in the back and in the front. When it comes to the latter, do men like them fake? Big breasted women are more likely to catch a guy s attention. Let s face it, it is a turn on to look at breasts and cleavage. It stirs something up inside. As a source of many fantasies, breasts heighten guys sexual wantings. In fact, bare female breasts increase sexual desire in men and women. Breasts represent sensuality, femininity and erotic pleasure. When sexually aroused, breast size increases and the nipples harden. They are sensitive to touch and can bring a woman to orgasm. In Kama Sutra, it is erotic to scrape the breasts with nails and bite them hard. After a boob job, some women have a greater self-esteem and more sexual desire. They are more easily aroused and satisfied. When it comes to looks, fake is great. They are guaranteed to remain perky and firm, as opposed to saggy breasts that hang down to the knees. So in terms of looking at breasts that are covered with clothes, fake totally works. They are eye candy. A totally delicious visual stimulation. In an intimate setting, it is a different story. According to surveys such as the one on blurtit.com, the majority of men voted against fake breasts stating that it is always better to get the real thing. Another survey found that men who did not like fake ones at all were more likely to be religious, less likely to drink alcohol and more prone to depression.
